Five Wits Brewing Company Chattanooga TN bar, breakfast The bar is fronted by several wide flights of steps. There're typically tables and chairs spread across the area between the steps and the front of the building. There are several entrances to the ball room across the front of the building, starting on the right side. There is a single set of automatic doors leading to the bar on the left hand end of the front. Climb the far left hand set of steps. Alternatively, climb the right hand set of steps, turn left, and weave your way through all the tables and chairs that generally sit out front, The entrance to the bar itself is a set of automatic doors. You'll pass through those doors, continue through a foyer, and then you'll find yourself in the bar proper. There is an eating area to your right. You'll pass through this area. Angle back 30 degrees left, walk about 10 feet, and then angle 30 degrees right. You'll have the bar on your right hand side. It extends down the length of the room ahead of you. The kitchen will be at your 11:00, against the back wall. You might also hear noises from the school across the street, or birds from the outside eating area, if the windows are open. Just grab an empty seat at the bar on your right side.
English Mild 4 This was a great beer to have with a breakfast burrito. It had just a touch of bitterness at the end, and a slight sweetness.
Chorizo Burrito 4 This was a thick burrito, filled with eggs, potatos, cheese, chorizo sausage, and a chipotle crema. It was served piping hot. All the ingredients were cooked well, and the potatos maintained their crispy fried coating.
Coffee 4 Hot but not scalding, and not burned at all.
Chocolate Latte 4 This was a good after breakfast drink. I got it with a bit of ice to cool it. A good chocolate taste with the mild bitterness you'd expect.
Smokey Bones Chattanooga TN
Bacon Cheeseburger 2 This was your standard burger, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. The cheese was cooked well, but there wasn't much of it. The bacon was average, not too crispy and not completely limp. The pickles almost lacked taste, which was a bit odd, honestly.
Crispy Broccoli 1 This was just steamed, with zero crisp. It was what you'd expect for steamed broccoli, but definitely not what was requested.
Chocolate Cake 3 There were a large number of cake triangles, set on their bases. They were sitting in a fudge mixture. The fudge had a little texture, almost like little solid bits of chocolate. The cake was fresh, and this was pretty good.
Root Beer 1 I ordered this with no ice, and it was about half full of ice. It also was a tad bitter. Like the machine it came from had touched metal. It was drinkable, but not great.
Brisket "Stuffed" Grilled Cheese 2 You know how grilled cheese should have some cheese pull? There was zero pull on this. The brisket was farely plain, and the cheese was just meh.
Creamy Cole Slaw 2 This was okay. Your basic mayo based slaw.
Fries 3 These were good, slightly salty, well cooked but not crispy at all (which I prefer).
Rain Thai Bistro (Lee Hwy) Chattanooga TN Restaurant, Thai
Fresh Basil Rolls 4.0 These were packed full of vegies, along with a bit of mint. Quite a tasty combination. They also refridgorate great.
Chicken Satay 4.0 Fantastic flavor. Kind of a tangy smoky flavor? Served on scuers with peanut sauce and some other sweet sauce. These could be a small meal on their own.
Tom Kha Gai 4.0 This soup was lovely. It had a good vegetable to broth ratio. The broth was tangy and just a touch spicy.
Spicy Basil Noodles DP 4.0 These were tasty. The beef was slightly sweet, and the noodles were cooked well. The noodles from this restaurant are not your normal noodle; they're thick cut and slightly chewy.
Thai Tea 4.0 This was what you'd expect out of a thai tea, sweet but not overly sweet.
